Welcome to UP Writers Club’s official website. Since its inception in 1927, the organization has produced National Artists for Literature such as Nick Joaquin, Edith Tiempo, N.V.M. Gonzalez, Virgilio Almario, Bienvenido Lumbera, and many more.
Today the organization continues to be the bastion of literary excellence, upholding its purpose to foster new talent and cultivate young writers to their fullest potential through workshops, poetry readings, and other activities.
In the spirit of its 80th anniversary, we present to you the works of the current members and the alumni, writings which exhibit the evolving literary creativity of the present generation.
